The first attempt to organise AEK supporters was Gate 21 (formed in 1975), which took its name from the gate in the Nea Filadelfia stadium where the most hardcore fans gathered. Dissilusioned from the direction Gate 21 was following, a handful of supporters broke away in 1982 and created their own club, naming it Original (Gate) 21. United by their determination to follow AEK everywhere and to maintain a family feel within their organisation they have succeeded in becoming a legendary fan club in the Greek and European supporters world.
